By Car: On the Autobahn (A9), take the exit "Garching-Nord". Follow the signs marked "Forschungsinstitute" to TU München and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on Boltzmannstraße. Parking is permitted in front of the building, and additional spots are located on Lichtenbergstraße, west of campus. It is also possible to take commuter rail line 8 (S-Bahn S8) going in the direction of Pasing to Ismaning (the third station from the airport). Finding itm: From the main entrance to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, you will enter a large atrium with the many research institutes located in wings to your left and right. itm is located in Institute MW1-Mechatronik, in the first wing on the lef-hand side. The entrance is clearly marked with large signs. The itm offices are located on the ground floor, and the secretaries' office is located in room 0101, on the left-hand side from the itm entrance.
